Privacy Policy
For candidates, clients and website visitors. Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Who we are
TLNT Advisory ("TLNT", "we", "us") is a specialist recruitment agency placing Tech and GTM talent with scaling companies across Europe, the US and the UAE. We act as the data controller for the personal data described here. When we pass a candidate's details to a client, that client becomes an independent controller for its own hiring process.
Questions about this policy or your data: hello@tlntadvisory.com.
2. Candidates
What we collect
- Identity and contact details: name, email, phone, location, LinkedIn profile.
- Your CV and career history, skills, qualifications and references.
- Job preferences: roles, markets, salary expectations, notice period, right to work.
- Notes from our calls and interviews, and feedback from clients you interview with.
- Data we find in public professional sources (such as LinkedIn) when we approach you about a role.
We don't ask for sensitive data (such as health, ethnicity or religion). If you choose to share it, for example to request interview adjustments, we only use it for that purpose.
How we use it
- To match you to roles and contact you about relevant opportunities.
- To present your profile to clients, only after we have discussed the specific role with you.
- To arrange interviews, manage offers and support you through notice and onboarding.
- To meet legal obligations, such as right-to-work checks and record keeping.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest in providing recruitment services, steps taken at your request before an employment contract, legal obligations, and your consent where required (for example marketing emails). You can withdraw consent at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep candidate records for up to 2 years after our last meaningful contact, then delete or anonymise them, unless you ask us to keep you on file for longer or the law requires us to keep them.
3. Clients and hiring managers
What we collect
- Business contact details: name, job title, work email, phone, company.
- Role briefs: job description, team, compensation, must-haves, market.
- Interview feedback, offer details, and billing and invoicing information.
How we use it
- To deliver searches, send shortlists and manage the hiring process.
- To invoice our fees and manage our commercial relationship.
- To send occasional updates about our services, which you can opt out of at any time.
Your responsibilities
Candidate details we share are confidential and provided only for the role in question. Clients must use them solely for that hiring decision, keep them secure, not pass them to third parties, and handle them in line with applicable data protection law.
We keep client records for the duration of our relationship and up to 6 years afterwards for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
4. Website visitors
- Technical data such as IP address, browser, device and pages visited, via cookies and analytics. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the cookie banner.
- Details you submit in our forms: call bookings, CV uploads and the Marketplace waitlist.
5. Who we share data with
- Clients, for roles you have agreed to be put forward for.
- Referees, only with your permission.
- Trusted service providers who help us run our business (hosting, email, storage, analytics), under contract and only on our instructions.
- Authorities or advisers where required by law.
We never sell personal data.
6. International transfers
Because we recruit across Europe, the US and the UAE, your data may be transferred between these regions, for example when a UK candidate is put forward for a role in Dubai or New York. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you are, you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data, or ask us to delete it.
- Restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
To use these rights, email hello@tlntadvisory.com. We'll respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Security
CVs are stored in private, access-controlled storage and are never publicly accessible. We use encryption in transit and limit access to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, so please tell us straight away if you think your data has been put at risk.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
